LOL BILLBO - you got married in PVC trollies?
And yes Slashley - I can see that barnacles would spoil them - especially if on the inside |

Fishing off Spurn Point i had the most violent bite ever, the rod nearly bent double while i was reeling it in, in my mind i was thinking HUGE cod!!! It took some ten minutes to get it to the surf my heart in my mouth, only to find it was a DAMN SHIRT!!!! Never did get the matching trousers!

Hi All justa couple of weeks back my mate caught a jetskier he was buzzin the boat and my mate just cast out and bang unseated him straight away scared the heck out of himself and the jetskier.I would say each was as bad as the other but you should always be careful and look where you are going to cast never mind where the rods going to be before casting. You never know what you might catch  |

Bag of jewellery, No joke ...although in a freshwater loch tho` . Still was not expecting that at all. Most of it was cheap costume stuff but my dear old mother still has some of the stuff that was real gold...some of it looked very old like it had been there around 50 years or so. |

I know this post's been on for a while but I had a funny thing happen at orford on saturday night.
Last cast of the night and the rod taps a little, nothing big big you understand just a gentle nod. So, deciding to reel it in and put it away, I start winding the handle. Bu***r me, I thought, this is a bit heavy. Gets to the waters edge and winds away and this little codling pops up- closely followed by a doggie on the same rig. Great I think, two on one. Then when I look real close it turns out that the codling isn't hooked at all!
It looks like it was in the wrong place when the dog got hooked and I'm assuming that the dog must have done some kind of circular flip, wrapped the rig body around the codling and kindly clipped the hook over the mainline to create a perfect lasso!
I'm not going to repeat any of the rather rude words my mate called me later, but lucky git wasn't one of them! |
