Hi all, very early and frosty start to the day. Set off at 6.30am to pick up Frank (FishingWithFrank) from his house. Arrived at venue around 7.30am. Third member of our party Jonty was already there. As conditions were not ready to fish yet, we had a brew and set up our gear. Started fishing around 8.30am. Frank was first to catch, a small whiting. Within the next two hours, I caught 3 Flounders and Frank in total caught 5 or 6 flounder, one small plaice and of course the only whiting of the day. Poor Jonty unfortunately blanked again. There was quite a few people on the wall, most caught something, so Jonty blanking was very unfortunate indeed. However, he did find some lugs, squid and one little sprat left by someone the day before, so he did get something I suppose. big grin big grin . This was my first time at this venue and I thoroughly enjoyed it, the company was also great. Can't wait to do it again. happy happy happy

Hi Homer, Gynn Wall is about 1 mile north of the north pier at Blackpool mate, and yeh it's a great place to fish having the comfort of your car right next to you. It was my first time on the wall and I will be returning again and again and again and..........................wether I catch or not, maybe we will meet up there sometime. happy happy happy

Hi Phill, We fished Gynn Wall last friday night ( see post ) It can be very busy on there last week there were little red rod-tipped lights all along the wall, if you want some fresh bait get in touch with buck2003 he is in blackpool and im sure he will sort you out....Frank

Hi Phil, Frank's told you most of what you need to know. As you have found out it is a good place to fish at night. Although I have not fished there at night myself, I have heard that it is best to fish when the tide is coming in and perhaps upto an hour on its way out. The wall itself is narrow at both ends with a wide section in the middle, the wide middle section is where most people fish. I've seen the ground at low tide and is sandy and flat so you should'nt get any snags. Very comfortable fishing as you can have your car and all your bits and pieces right beside you. Hope this helps mate. happy happy happy
