Hi all
Took the wife and kids to Ringstead for a pleasure fish today and due to matches being fished we were unable to fish where we planned so we headed down the beach by the reef and 1st to catch was Jen (wife) with a Wrasse of about a lb and then James (5yr old) had a Wrasse just before Liam (11) had a Wrasse also.
By the time I finished sorting them all out James had another, final count was all Ballan Wrasse... Me 5, James 3, Liam 3 and Jen 1 all caught on a 1oz weight single hook rig with Rag as bait, just casting and retrieving slowly (lot of weed though).
We would have caught more but ran out of rag lol (lesson learned)
We all thoroughly enjoyed it and I am sure I have passed my GCSE in untangleology and posses the patience of a driving instructor
all the best Pat
PS Jenny was annoyed because she forgot the camera |

Oh yes Steve they do but I was so chuffed to see my 5 year old putting Macky strip on his hook (not ready to touch rag yet..his own words) and try and sort his own tangles out, and Liam also did a lot more today on his own so very satisfying indeed.
