Orford ness

Hi has any one been Orford ness lately.....reports that sort of thing as thinking of going down for a couple of days

Hi we went to the island overnight Friday, just four of us. Froze our cods off, but between us we caught Cod to 8lbs, Bass up to 1 1/2lb, Dog fish to 2 ish pounds and loads of Whiting. Big squid and lug baits worked best for the cod.

We had frost on our gear in the morning though.

Sounds like a cold and eventfull night......just another question is it possible to drive over there in a landrover/jeep...or do ya get ferry and hike down to the beach...whats the best spot to fish ??

hi does the ferry guy operate every day and how often does he make the trip across any info or even a contact number for him would be appreciated. fished aldeboro thorpeness southwold loads last year but want to hit orford shingle on some mid week sessions, any tips or marks to aim for again apprciated.
