Me and a mate did shingle st, lovely sunny day (possibly too lovely for good fishing) high water aroiund 3pm, we were using lug rag squid and mackie.
got there at 2.30pm and caught nothing for 90 min when eric had a teaspoon sized codling and I had a couple of whiting (not sizeable) it went quite until the light started fading when we both got a whiting.
No bait stood out from the other baits we used as most sucessful and fish were caught over all distances.
A nice afternoon and not blanking helped.
