| i got a daiwa millionere 6h on ebay a few weeks ago and a friend gave me a brand new abu amsassadeur the other day but havent tried either yet. might set up the beachcaster tomorrow and put the abu on my other rod and give it a go while im waiting(hoping) for a bite. a few people told me id be better off going to a beach or a field with a 2oz weight and start with 20yard casts and work up from that. |

I changed from Fixed to Multi a few years ago now and i use 2 x Okuma Magnetix MG30 with level winds. First time iswapped ovr i found setting teh multi's up to not birds nest etc too ksome fine tuning but now of course it is a breeze.
When i first changed to multi found little dif in casting distances to begin with so dont be alramed if this happens to u also. After a fw sessions my cast's improved and now am very comfortable with them.
Once u ahve them set to your liking i find mutli's as easy as fixed and much mroe powerful in distance.
Only drawback i still have sometimes is when i want to cast short i am still a little nervious on these occasions but again it is more to do with settings on reels more than anything and i have had many successes with them.
Hope this has helped a little. |
