| New to sea fishing and have been trying things out in the Stokes Bay area in Gosport. This sounds interesting and well need of support, do I have to register with anyone before turining up? Also the 3 hook rule does this mean one can in the water with 3 hooks and the other baited and ready to go or sdoes it mean one with 2 and the other 1 hook? Stupid question? |
hello mate
just send a email to danypanter or waverider14 or me to comfirm your place and just turn up on the day the rules will be given to everyone on the day , 3 hooks 2 rods an yep you can have rigs hanging from the rodrest ready to make a quick turn around .
all the best

Hi all,
would love to make it, just trying to get well enough to do the drive after having op on my knee.
Is there a need to book up or do i/we just turn up on the evening?
This could well be my next outing out, fishing that is, if i can get permission for some decent fresh air again from my partner in crime. No, she is good woman really!! looking over my shoulder as i type.
Hope to be there, good cause and to meet up with others,
tight lines,
Bryan. |

MANY APOLOGIES BUT DUE TO HEALTH AND SAFETY AND INSURANCE THE COMP WILL ONLY BE FISHED WITH ONE ROD MAXIMUM 3 HOOKS.
THIS IS DUE TO THE SIZE OF THE BEACH AND THE BIG NUMBERS ATTENDING INCLUDING MEMBERS FROM TEAM ENGLAND AND THE NFSA
REGARDS

Due to the change of only 1 rod, the 3 hour journey for me that I was willing to do doesent seem as appealing.
I understand you have your rules and regulations but living in the midlands I dont get to fish as much as id like to so not being able to use my abilities to there full I think im going to give this one a miss. Was looking forward to meeting people off here and fishing but due to the change im going to give it a miss.
I wish everyone the best of luck and look forward to the reports..
Cheers

hi danny
Due to the fact I,like craig, have to travel great distances to get to the coast
I feel it unfair to be limited to fish one rod!
The entire position of the comp seems to have changed,it is clearly stated on the title that it is help the heroes, sea fishing org charity comp
Now england team,nfsa.........who next?
as for health and safety....................................won`t go there as it is of no relevence
Had the comp just been for forum members,as stated, these issues would never have arisen.
I will no longer be attending the event,as I would rather spend money on going to a venue, to fish with as many rods as I wish.
I hope you understand my point of view and the position I am in.
The donated rod and reel that I have can be collected,or own courier arranged
The best of luck to those attending
Regards Darren |

I dont mind still helping out on the fundrasing front but doult il be fishing mate , going down to 1 rod is abit daft in my opinion but rules are rules , did try to phone you today but your mob was off .
good luck with the comp
thanks

Hi Folks I have just had many a discussion with certain people and this event will remain a 2 ROD EVENT as this is not an NFSA registered event or for any other organisation but merely for charity and something that is close to both mine and Jay's heart as with others attending + i deem it to late in the day to start changing things to suit othersl,
I regret the mess around but a few people were trying to get it canceled for what ever reason but like i said i will spill my blood before that happens so every thing is back to normal
Regards Danny |
