| wondering if anybody could tell me what shore mark would give me the best chance of catching a conger over 10lbs, am relatively new to sea fishing and have never caught one from the shore, , thanks |

Thats quite a distance you are willing to travel for an elusive/hard to catch fish.
What area are you in at the moment? It could be a long way to go to lose a load of tackle and blank

| im just south of birmingham ( not an ideal location i know when you want to do a bit of sea fishing) but i dont mind travelling and have time at my disposal to put in the hours , ive done a bit of reading on the web and got a rough idea of the tackle and tactics needed for them , im not really after a mega one would be quite happy with something over 10lb , i do a lot of match fishing but am after some new challenges . |

| As far as i'm aware you catch Conger all around Britain. Breakwaters, causeways, rock ledges and even beaches produce Conger. Mackeral, Squid and Pouting are good baits. |

It sounds like Burnham on Sea would be good for you, try and talk to Howie as he often catches them there.
An added bonus is that Burnahm will be about the closest sea to Brum (less than an hour). |
