hi, dont know if its just me, but has something happpened to the fish around fleetwood. 1 month ago, august, i managed to catch 4 sea bass off the beach at fleetwood, ok i had to return 3 as they were marginally undersized ( by 0.25 of an inch ) but since then nothing, nadan zilch, not even a bite. ive tried black worm, squid, and sand eel, but nothing at all. am i the only one ? as it seems all the other guys have now given up, as i seem to be the only on the beach these days. i setup usually about 2 hours be high tide to 1 hour after. any suggestions would be greatfully recieved

Hi Mike, welcome to the forum, we fished Fleetwood on saturday, (we being myself, Rabbi2 fishingwithfrank, and Happy Chris) we went to bluebridge, Frank was the only one to catch, and that was a small flatty, myself and frank then moved round to fish the last of the tide by the pier, frank got a nice knock, but didnt get it on the hook, I caught a small rockling, so between 6 rods, and at least 4 different baits it was disappointing. Heres hoping it picks up for the winter. Tightlines..Mick |

Welcome to the forum mike. Yep as mick said, It was a glorious day but there was nowt about at all. I were telling them I seen the time when I have taken 30 fish from the bridge not as keepers mind. It seems to be the same all around the uk except for certain pockets now and again. Hope the winter fishing shows more promise. Cheers keith |

Welcome to the site mate. Fishing has been poor of late till the last week.
I fished thursday just gone and caught 3 whiting,1 doggie and 3 weevers.
The sunday before caught 6 doggies and 1 tope. Bait used was squid and blueys just used a 2 hook flapper.I always tend to fish the same spot off one of the slades by the big glitter ball on the prom blackpool.
Cheers.Mark |

Hi I'm in Blackpool and fish fleetwood alot, esp in rough seas as many parts of the coastal path from North pier to fleetwoods unfishable when its like this.
Any time you want to fish and want company give me a shout, I like 5bar gate at low water.
Last week was great for fish..this weeks been hard going..and the high ice cold winds and rain dont help.
like I said give me a shout anytime you fancy fishing.
