Thinking of going to whitehaven for the first time on Tuesday 7th October. Does anyone fancy joining me and sharing petrol costs? |

Just a tip lads, most of the locals are float fishing and spinning at Whitehaven and with some sucess. They are using very light tackle. At the moment ledgering will catch but not nearly as good as the locals are doing. Cheers keith  |

Keith, what are the locals catching? If we use floats, what bait shall we use? and are you suggesting that we should'nt bother ledgering? Thanks.  |

No ledgering will catch but there were mackerel caught on the float and by spinning. Lug and mackerel seem to be the order of the day. The only thing that saved me from blanking was a flaming weaver! lol  |
