hi all
went fishing today and my partner was crabbing and i was wondering with the crabs she caught could i use them as bait i dont no what sort of crabs they were

Might be able to get the guts and use them as a rubby dubby on a boat, but don't forget there are size limits even for crabs. Cheers keith |

I might be a bit late with this one I hope that you pick it up.
Keith the older ones amongst us know the size limits or should do, but how many young ones realise that size limits apply to all marine species in general with few exeptions.
What you have said regarding the crab size does apply so is the taking of peelers of all sizes illegal? the farmed varieties must be exempt from this legislation. I have not heard anything to say that we cannot collect peeler, they are after all harvested in many places openly or is it just a matter of time before an example is set & someone gets prosecuted.
