well after a pritty bad trip on the friday we decided to give north end of withernsea another try but then decided to change our minds and walk about 3/4 - 1 mile out of withernsea heading about half way to tunstal
fished from low water up to high, was a really slow start and bait was PANTS the rag we got on the friday was all but a few dead but still with a bit of bait elastic it stayed on the hook
after about 3 hours i changed my 2/0s to some small which i think were 1/0s and made a 3 hook flatty rig to see if there was any about, first cast got a nice weaver fish a first for me then about 1 1/2 hours before top my flatty rig shot down with the tide
reeled in and had a 3 1/4lb codling on the end which made the walk worth it and fishing buddy got a small whiteing around the same time
fished with small rag baits close in on flatty rig and lug baits on single hook rig at distance, nothing on the far out baits.
here are some pics
the hook resting on its head is the hook i pulled it in with
got this on the same 3 hook rig on top hook was about 6-7inch long
