Well,Got up at 3am and was out for 4. Picked mate up and juiced the car then set out for Trefor.
We got there at about 7am and went to look at the pier. I knew it was suppose to be a bit "rough and ready" but was shocked to see all the struts hanging out the sides.
Never let it be said that Stokies are cowards, we wandered back to the car and kitted up.
Stood on the end of the pier (only ones there) and cast out.
My first cast got me my first ever fish from the sea- a bloody Weaver
we stuck at it for an hour or two then I was swapping rigs and thought I'd give feathers a go. First drop with them got me a Whiting, second drop got me a bigger one then it went dead.
We stayed there until about 1pm then upped sticks and headed off to Dinas Dinlle for a spot of beachcasting as my mate has never done any and wanted to try.
A couple of hours there resulted in a blank.Weather was a bit rough on the beach and it didn't matter where or how far you cst, a 6oz lead was right over to the right before you could put the rod in the tripod.
Had a great day though and a good laugh at my mate who has to be one of the biggest idiots going. Wearing wellies obviously maks you waterproof up to the neck. Silly sod had to sit in his kegs coming back as everything was drenched.
Poor results but a cracking day out.
