Hi king_nothing, depends on area really, my favourite bass baits are peeler crab, whole squid, live mackeral and sandeels.
The rig i use for the dead baits is a pennel running ledger and the live bait either under a float or free lined, i hope this helps. |

I have found peeler crab from the beach and trolling live sand ell from a boat is deadly. Frank |

a lot of luck is the best thing to have when bass fishing
nice fresh bait and it depends what is local to where you are fishing

if you do use live mackeral do u mean that u go macky bashin then get a mackeral the take it off the hook then pput it onto another pennel hook and place in water and let it swim away??

Hi samee, thats right but i would'nt use a pennel, just a single treble hooked through the top jaw, you can also slow the macky up a little by trimming the tail fin. i hope this helps. |
