| Hi, Like a lot of people i dont have a great deal of money to spend on tackle, I have less to spend a week than my sisters kids, So i spend a lot of time thinking up ideas to compensate for the lack of money, For instance, my weights cost absolutely zilch, as do my floats, Rod rests, which can be used on beach or rocks, and fit in the pocket. containers to carry leads with grippers safely, Everything i make can be made with materials that can be found, begged, or borrowed. If i tell you i use birdcages, plantpots, pollifilla, etc you would think i was mad, so before i go into a long drawn out explanation including pics, i need to know someones interested. You may not look very expert, but you still catch fish, and lose nothing except the materials used. |

I cant swear to it, but i think Rabbi2 has seen my gripper weights, which have proved to outperform shop bought ones on a number of occasions, and can weigh as little as 1oz or as i made today, 6oz or more. I was talking to him today and telling him about my floats, which cost nothing, and you can use 1 or more as you wish, depending on the weight of your lead. I may not have the prettiest tackle, but at least i dont leave good money on the sea bed, and not one fish has ever complained. |

Im up for that manic, have less than a few quid spare each week at the moment and could soon be unemployed so any money saving ideas that keep me fishing sounds good to me.
