i reccomend getting the 30 size if you do though as i was practicing today and nearly emptied the spool on my 20ct

The Abu 7500 is the best reel in my armoury but the Okuma 30 comes a close second. Hope this helps as both reels have the cranking power if needed. keith |

If its an Abu or a Daiwa - then the 7HT or the 6500 Mag Elite will be the ones you are looking at. They are both as good as each other so its up to you as for preference. The Mag Elite I'm thinking of is the one with green end plates which is the older version, but one of the best reels to ever be made by Abu - and still available in some shops.
If you can, try one out or have a look at other peoples gear when you go down the beach fishing next time - chances are someone will be kind enough to show you it so you can see it in the flesh so to speak.
There seems to be a common theme of recommending Okuma gear at the moment though... perhaps someones on here has got shares..... |
