Hi Daiwa,
End of pier is probably the best. Gas jetty supposed to be good but I've never caught anything there. In the winter, the further west you go the better the catches seem to be.

i have fished off the peir 3rd and 4th shelter never cought much!!!!! tryed over at fambridge twice good catch but nothing big!!!! is canvey any good??? |

The drop at Canvey is supposed to be good. If you're mobile, why not try Tilbury or Grays Beach. Theres always fish down that way. For the pier, you need to be right down at the end now it's open again. Fish East or West but not south. It's very, very snaggy off the south end of the pier. You will get bass, mackeral, garfish here and once in a while a trigger fish. If you're really lucky, you might snag the odd body, WWII bomb etc.Lol!
A bit further afield (hours drive) why not try Clacton, Walton, Frinton, Holland. All these are supposed to be fishing well. We've had mixed sucess down there but we have caught. Again it's bass, silver eel and sole in the summer. |
