Hi all, Just wondering if swim feeders are any good or not as I dont see alot of people using them near where I live. If they are any good what do you put in them, i was thinking of somthing that releases slowly into the water. We have lots of rays, doggies and flatties around my local beaches.

alright
i read an articalin i think it was total sea fishing mag. it was about ground baiting from the beach. it went along the lines of this. you arrive at you beach at low tide chose your spot. set up your rod with just a weight on and then cast out mark the spot where you cast from. then walk down to the sinker. then when you get there mark around about a 15 ft circle and then with a pre mixed ground bait [ mac rag sandell ect cut into small bits] bury it just under the sand 2 or 3 inches. as the tide comes in it moves the sand a the grond bait slowly gets out. so if you stand on you first cast spot when the tide comes in and copy your cast it should land in that 15ft area where the groundbait is and any fish should be feeding in that area of free bs they pick up the hook bait. simple ha ha ha. hope this helps good luck. needafish |

A block-end feeder stuffed full of chopped Ragworm was my standard Flounder rig and a plastic milk bottle, stuffed with frozen, liquidised mackie guts and other stuff was successful tied to a rope and hung off a pier when I floatfished (Just remember to punch some holes in the bottle) |
