Greetings to all Welsh Gentleman: I am about to spend a few days with an old friend who lives on the wonderful Gower. He has recently retired and knows little about our great sport so I will be arriving to give him a few pointers. However, I need the help of some kind gent (hopefully): 1. Where can we cast out mackerel feathers with the prospect of taking one or two. 2. Where would I maybe find a few bream/bass/plaice. 3. Best price tackle shop for squid, rag, etc. 4. Anyone prepared share their boat on a share expenses basis? |

Well thanks for nothing you guys, very matey of you I must say, glad I don't have any of you gents for a fishing buddy. Whilst in Swansea bay I met a gentleman of west indian origin who was very helpful, sociable and a generally nice guy, which is more than I can say for the rest of you. |

Don't worry about it Gee, I was really referring to the paucity of info from the miserable welsh faction. But then I suppose they have something to be miserable about:- Rag was 35% dearer in Swansea than I pay and what a particular tackle shop called 'King Rag' was a complete joke - less than half the size of the proper King Rag we get in Hampshire. |

Sad to see that nobody replied to your request for info. I've joined tonight and if you need any further info on fishing on the south/ south west area of wales please let me know.
If I had seen your request I would have helped, but I've been away working down in Hampshire.
On the other hand try not to be so rude about people, you shouldn't tar everybody with the same brush.
Happy fishing.
Keep smiling. |
