Aberdeen a hook shape characterized by a round bend and a wide gap.
Action - the flexibility properties of a rod
Anal Fin - the fin located on the underside of a fish's body just ahead of the tail.
Anti-Reverse Lock - the mechanism on a reel that prevents the crank handle from turning backwards.
Backlash - a tangle of line on a reel caused by the spool's rotating faster than the line is being rewound. Also called "overrun" or "bird's nest."
Biting - the feeding action of a hungry fish.
Blank - a bare rod, before guides and other accessories have been attached.also not catching any fish lol
Breaking Strain - maximum load or weight that a line, swivel, or other piece of tackle can sustain without breaking
Butt - the rear portion of a rod.
Crank - another word for a reel's "handle".
Cosmic Clock - the sun's effect on water and local weather factors, such as barometric pressure, wind, cloud cover, seasonal change, etc.

Hello all, The SEA FISHING TERMS OF JARGON, is something that is being worked on and being compiled by rabbi2, with help from gazza76, this is a work in progress and will have information added / updated.

Mrix will make it a sticky all in good time I sent him a heck of a lot for him to go through so give him time as he has other things to do. Once he has edited it he will more than likely put it general chat and then the moderaters for each area will copy it as a sticky for there respective areas. Be patient and all will come good. keith

keith i aint bother about how long it takes i did offer to help all i was saying is why this post is made sticky? that attactment i sent you and mrix last night was just a idea which now is sticky in general forum

It has been made a sticky but thats not a problem at all, I have explained more information will be added etc changes can be made updated.
I added it mainly to see how it would show on the page.
