ILL HELP YOU , keep it simple you can use a beach rod but i use a 8-10 ft spinning rod with a 3-5 oz plain lead, tie on a 3 way swivel to ur main line add 8-10 inch length of line slightly weaker than ur main ,then add a 12 - 24 inch length of line and attach ur eel, add weight to swivel and make a short cast to check all works ok , now cast at various depths/distance and rate of retrieve , keep mobile the fish dont stay in 1 place so why should you and most IMPORTANT stay SAFE rocks are slippy when wet (just like a loose woman ) hope this helps tight lines big grin big grin

Hi M8,

When I use Eddystone Eels, I either use the same method as described by Shorty, or I use a controller float. similar setup to that described by Shorty but replace the lead with a 20g controller float.

I'm sure others will have different opinions, but for Bass, use a white eel and for Pollock, use red. If spinning at night, use a black eel.

Regards
Foxy
