When Beach Fishing (I am relatively new to it) along the South-East Coast of Ireland I encounter a lot of sea-weed, especially after storms. Any tips on coping with sea-weed would be greatly appreciated. Does one search for spots where there is little or no sea-weed (very rare) or can one fish fruitfully in the presence of moderate seaweed? |

THis is due to a storm whipping up the bottom of the sea bed and pulling out all the weed if there is a very heavy presence of weed then probaly not worth fishing as is going to mask your hook bait but if only a little then grin and bear it some times it is only there on certain stages of the tide... and there should be one or 2 spots which escape from a heavy presence of weed after a storm so you just have to find em! |
