Hello Wizz, a very commonly used Bass lure is the Dexter Wedge
Its a fairly nice weighted lure so you can cast it well
I have no idea if it will be of success in your area though :?:
Cheers

I am guessing to some extent my friend but would imagine that there are plenty of sand eels in the G Yarmouth area from next month onward. In which case, bass will be looking for them. My own highly successful technique is to put a 6" or 4" rubber eel on a 12 - 15" trace with either a 1 oz or 1/2 oz lead ball in front of the swivel. I then cast across the channel with a ten foot lightweight rod (a big rod tires me out too quickly) usually around 100 yds and reel in with the usual motions. I have used this technique with good results in more than one location. Only one minor problem - can't be done in a very snaggy area because you lose too many eels to snags. You can do a very similar trick but with a bigger lead if boat fishing over wrecks - on one inshore wrecking trip a couple of years ago, the guy fishing with a rubber eel actually took more bass than the guys using live eels. |

That's no good Mickey, he wants to know how to do it with lures. Anyway, we all know that Bass cruise along river banks looking for grub. |

You could check out Dr. Mike Ladle's site. He is a leading authority on bass and includes quite a lot of stuff about lure fishing for bass, which he does a lot of. If you punch his name or " hooked on bass " into Google you should find it. Better still try this http://www.mikeladle.com/osa.html |
