 i was booked to go to Norway in May so my mates and me saved like mad to pay for it and then less than a month to go are told SORRY D.F.D.S are not sailing and have took the boat out of service for 3 weeks so do you want to change your booking dates (please we all go to work in the real world out here) no some of us cannot change dates at the drop of a hat, so D.F.D.S say if you like you can sail to Denmark and drive over to Norway ( it's only about 800 miles round trip and this is the best bit we will give you a whole £50 between the 6 of you to help with the extra cost of fuel ) so now it's Ireland here we come i just hope no one else is down in the dumps like we was come yesterday but give credit where credit is due the lads at anglers-world was on the ball and find us somewhere to go so sorry Norway we are giving you a miss. |

Hi bearskin,
sorry to hear about your dispointment with Norway, but hopefully it will all be a thing of the past in May when you get to Ireland.
What you hoping to catch in Ireland.... large Skate??? :?:
Hope to see a good report on your return... and some pictures of some good specimen fish. 8)

Hi we have a house in sweden and fish lakes there for pike and perch, if you are ever trying to get to Norway the north is great for fishing and fjordline go also from newcastle same timeto get there but to Bergen and not kristiansand - there are two stops before you get to Bergen you could get off and drive down where you would have been if you went on DFDS. They often do that by the way as they really are using the ship for tax free runs in Norwegian waters !!
Good luck if you go again it is good fun lake or sea fishing there ! |
