Hi All
Went to Marsden for a few hours last night. The night was perfect for those cod. Wind in my face, waves as far as you could see, night time, fished two down and one up. Not a sausage. I was even stripping the bait off my hooks to freshen up as it wasn't even being touched. All I caught was plastic bags. There was one heart stopping moment when my rod bent very quickly and flew off the rest. Another plastic bag which must have been caught in the surf. Well, fishing would be boring if it was predictable. Maybe next time!!!! There was a few other blokes in the same boat as me, caught nowt. |

Hi Medlar
Not yet mate. I have seen them in the shop down shields for 26 pounds a kiddies rod and reel. It looks very basic to me and I really want something that could hold a decent size fish if one was to take fancy to my bait . Trying to borrow one off someone I know from whitburn as he takes it all over when on holiday but he is away at the moment so I will be cutting it short. I may have to purchase over there yet. |

One not just get one when you get there. The fishing stuff is normally alot cheaper and you can always bring it back to uk. So it may be worth spending a little bit more if you are going to carry on using it.
Anyway have a good time. Let us know if you catch anything. |
