Ok my mate I fully aggree with you. If you look at NWCoast under quick change you will see the setup I use. This can be used for a running ledger, 2 hooks above the weight ar even 3 hooks or a combination of all three setups. I never buy traces I always make my own unless I want something like a mackrel trace. Hope this helps. A lot of stuff on the market is designed to catch fishermen and not fish.

Most of the rigs gemini make are good to use, but the more complicated ones like the 2 hook bomber are worthless.

Stick to making your own rigs, it is good fun and rewarding when you hook and land a fish on a rig you tied yourself.
If you are unfamiliar with modern rig-making components and rig-patterns there is a good publication produced by Sea Angler called 'Rigs and Baits' which gives good clear step-by-step instructions on how to construct a variety of popular rigs. However, most of these rigs are 'clipped-down or clipped-up types' and are basically designed for long-distance casting with today's hi-tec rods and reels.
Nevertheless, I am sure the fish aren't bothered whether you use an old-fashioned type of rig or a modern type, as long as the bait being used is what they want, they will take it.

Hats off to gemini for their quick and genuine response. I was happy to be proved wrong as I didn't think you would even get a reply never mind an explination.
