Does anyone know where I can get a rod holdall to take made up 12ft beach casters. I have tried a number of carp holdalls but the reel pocket doesn't come far enough up. I have looked everywher I can think of but no luck yet. I am using a pole holdall at the moment but my rods are knocking against each other and I want to look after them a bit.
Thanks

Hi BIG G,
If you want a good Holdall have a look at the Middy range, most tackle shops will have a catalogue on their range. I bought one for boat fishing and it has velcro bands inside, with pockets in the bottom to put the butt end of the rod into. Also it would be better if you didn't keep the reels seated on the rods as most Holdalls are not modified to take reels apart from Carp ones. Hope this helps.
Regards

Thanks Carl,
I am hoping to get one to leave reels on as it saves time and effort on beach, leaving more time for fishing!! I will have a look at the Middy range though.
Thanks

If you want to leave the reeels on then try getting a quiver holdall i have a diawa one that i use for carp fishing. As the rods are held on the out side the hieght and size of the reel wont matter. they also have a large center section to take a bivvy |

I will try a quiver as it looks like my only option at the mo.
Any manufacturers reading this - you are missing an opportunity!! |

Hi mate,
Have you tried the Abu range. I have bought one from Abu as i use zziplex rods and they don't come in small lengths!
Try ringing Aspinalls angling as they offer 25% off the catalogue price, I think mine was about £18 plus £4 p&p.
It fits all my rods.
