Fished at ladye bay and minehead for my first cod. started at ladye bay which i have never fished before. WHAT A PLACE! will fish again, met a guy there who told us the best marks. thank you for your help who ever you are! i must say that whenever i have gone up to the bristol channel the people have been very helpful.

anyway the fishing was crap!

Image

my dad had a tiny little codling that i refused to take a picture of!

the tide was falling so we headed to minehead.

4 fruitless hours later i had a massive bite.

could it be my first codling,

the distictive nodding of the head,

the excitment grew...

you guessed it a bloody dogfish it had wrapped itself round my line!

i was bloody gutted

anyway i had a great day, met some great people and caught a couple of fish.

all the best

Jamie

If you reduce the size of them with Paint or a similar package they will look clearer

If you look on the bright side, you fished two marks and caught at both
