Fished ladye bay last night.
Black lug wasn't working.
Peeler wasn't working.
razor wasn't working.
Mackerel wasn't working.
Salted rag wasn't working.
Sandeel wasn't working.
Switched to whole squid injected with spicy shrimp and prawn additive and hey presto started getting bites.
Managed to catch 1 micro codling
How these little fish expect to be able to eat a bait that is longer and wider than they are makes me wonder how big a bait you would need for a big fish.
Humboldt squid will be the next bait I use, It might get me a 10lb cod out of the channel.

Its not gona be a serious comp. just a bunch of anglers fishing together with a chance of earning some cash if you have a good day + hopefully a good donation to the local RNLI station.

I got to keep going back to the beginning of the winter season with the Sea Angler given all this ' best cod season in years ' - well unless i am missing something obvious is this not a crap season - everyone seems to be nearly always blanking.
