I usually put the lower hook through the beak and hidden in the tentacles then place the top hook near the back of the body.
bait elastic is optional. |

depends whether you are whacking it out or not. feed the bottom through the body a few times then bring out the bottom near the head, then chuck ten miles of bait elastic round it and finally put the topo hook through the top part of the body, hope it helps |

i find it easyest to pull out the platlet thingemyjig then put a bait needle through it from the tip of the canopy all the way through so it comes out of the beak and wrap it tight on the bait needle with bait elastic then thread it on to ur bottom hook then a few wraps with the elastic again just to tighten it up then just put the top hook where u please |

Use a DVice. I just shove the hooks in the squid so they are exposed and stick it in the DVice and chuck it out. Simple......................Like me |

I thread the first hook through the top of the squid and with a small pair of forceps reach up into the tube to grab the bend of the hook. Pull it through the tube and out at the head end. Push the point of the hook through the middle of the head. The second hook is then nicked through the pointed end of the squid in the opposite direction to the other point. This gives a hook point in both directions to enhance a better chance of a hook up. Never use to small a hook when pennel rigging. I have seen some good fish lost because of this. I always use between 5/0 and 7/0 when fishing for bass. When you see the size of a bass's chops, they have no problem taking them in. I have one venue where the bigger the bait the better and have proved time and time again that 3 squid pennell rigged out fishes a single one. Even smaller fish of around 2lb have no problem picking up 3 whole squid.
Good Luck |

I must be the laziest person then. i pull the head out and stick it on the bottom hook, then the body i just thread it on the top hook and that does me. |
