Hi folks
I am wheelchair dependent but have been fishing for short while now. I am going to St Austell on holiday in the summer of next year (yes I do know I am a bit early) but I wondered if anyone knew of any places I could fish with my 11 year old son that would be safe for both of us. Although I am in a wheelchair I am fairly fit (well fat as well) but I am able to get myself about. Ideally I am looking for harbours or piers we can fish from. Also if anyone can suggest any safe places to fish, what baits work best at that area. I would guess that my son will be spinning but I only have a beachcaster and spinning on that is tiring so ideally somewhere to spin and bait fish would be great.
I know I am asking a lot but I thought I might as well ask people in that area.
Any suggestions appreciated. I do drive so I don't kneed anything right at St Austell but anything really so we can have a few days fishing whilst on holiday.
Thanks in advance

Hi there reels, the first an probably the best place tht springs to mind would be mevagissy harbour, your likely to catch makerel, garfish, on spinners an float tackle, mullet on float gear, you would have to park in the main car park, from there to the harbour would i guess take you about 10-15 mins, there should be other anglers there at tht time of year to help an advise you, you should be safe there, but with all harbours, pier fishing just be sensible and hope you have a good day out............smuggler |
