Forget Cawsand go down to Cremyll go past the Edgecumbe arms and fish between the end of the railings and the boat yard---fish before high water-
any bait do there, cast as far as you can. |

cawsand isnt a great place to fish, if you are taking your son i would go to penlee point or rame head and do some float fishing for pollack and wrasse its how i got started! all you need is some ragworm for bait and a couple of spinning rods and reels. nice and simple |

Hi
I agree with Nemesis - just to do a bit of fishing head over to Penlee or Rame. Be careful with Penlee as one bit of rock gets cut off by the tide. I have fished Penlee a lot and i find it fishes best at low water or a high water no bigger then 4.7 - 4.9. Anything above and the wrasse just do not play ball.
Me and my dad have had good success here float fishing for wrasse. It is rare not to catch at least 20 in a 4 hour session and i have had the odd 4lb fish but most are between 1lb - 3lb.
cheers
