Whilst looking on Ebay I came accross a lug flavour bait additive. Has anyone tried this one before?

hmmm.

I'm always dubious about additives - I always either use fresh or frozen.

Thats what I thought until I discovered spicy prawn and shrimp flavouring, When this is added to carp pellets then used off a pier it gets the fish going crazy

Went to minehead last night. fishing was on a go slow with not a lot being caught. when the lug potion was bought into play I had my first bass at 8 1/2lb.
other fish followed including several whiting and doggies, but no cod

Other experiments undertaken were wd40. this didn't help at all.

sonu baits monster crab flavouring had the same result as the wd40.
cool

I got fed up of using small bottles of this and that so I decided to mix all my bait addatives together in a plastic wide toped bottle (lug, herrring, mackrel and fish guts) They worked! but other anglers tend to stay upwind of me, cant say I blame um, at first I thought I had B O or summat lol.

I was given some lug and rag liquid in a bottle. cant really say much on the results. I always belive that you have to test these products long term to rule out any flukes or luck in the fishing game that may make you think that they acually work or not! For me it did not improve anything! crying

This last session nothing was biting.
even if the bait was fresh the fish were not biting
I put the lug potion onto a manky piece of squid that was on the hook on several occasions and only when I did this did the fish bite. I will be trying it out again at several different marks
even if it is a fluke, its a good excuse to go fishing
