Hi there, all you mad fisherman, we set off to Cove hithe Saturday 4th early AM, met a 'local' there who said he'd been fishing at Pakefield previous night and caught 2 cod of 3 & 4 lb so we decided to give it a go Found ourselves on the beach at Pakefield in front of the CEFAS building : fished from 10.30 Sat AM through until 01.30 Sunday AM : high tide was 2.30 PM.
22 fish caught in all, biggest cod about 1lb, various whiting, codling, 1 decent flattie and a very small ling, there were cod being caught up to 4lb 50 yards further along the beach most fish were caught on the ebb tide.
Look forward to going again in a couple of weeks time, will keep you informed. No problems with weed.

Markyboy
