Had some easy fishing at west hoe had a few whiting and pouting, no ray about though. got mashed spectacularly by a big conger yet again
still garfish around!
another angler was using a crab line and ended up with a 2lb 3oz bass on the end of it. he then followed it with a nice rat which chomped his bait while he wasnt looking
had a nice pint of guiness and upset the stiffs in the waterfront!
all in all had a nice evening |

Sounds a good night - good hold west hoe seems to be a good popular place. My dad is fixated with mountbatten pier but i never hear or see anything too good coming off it. I did a night session a few weeks ago, and by 10pm there were atleast 20 anglers.
cheers

yeah you have to get there early to get a good spot. i really enjoy fishing west hoe, its easy fishing but mountbatten breakwater is very difficult place to fish. i have never caught anything worth having off there. the conger fishing is great, but damned if you can get them through the boulders! |
