the old 7HT is an amazing piece of kit it will cast as far as any non tornament reel, but no good for rough ground or big fingers.

the old blue elites are very reliable and the power handle really does balance well on the reel, will prob cast as far as the 7HT and handle a bit of heavier ground.

for more cranking power and reliability over the rougher ground then a slosh 20 would be good (same price as a 7HT). it won't cast as far as the 7HT but will still put a bait 150 yards in the right hands.

or look on ebay and see if you can get a nearly new clean ground/ distance reel and an out and out rough ground reel. you would prob be able to get a 7HT and a slosh 20 for your £100.
