Flood-low water up to high water
Ebb-High water down to low
Slack-The bit where the waters not really going up or down
Spring-Especially high tide usually a couple of days after a full or new moon
Neap-Especially low tide

That help?

Tide heights vary around the country, so it's best to get a tide table for your area.
Or click on UK Tide Tables on here.

Best place to look is somewhere like the bbc website. If you go to weather and then coast, they have tide tables which show how many metres the tide is from low to high. Alternatively, click the UK tides link in the menu column to the left on here. The height of each tide will be dependant on where you are so thats the best place to look.

I'm sure that I don't have to remind you that in a certain photo (published on this site) that you were the one in the tight shorts and wearing the girly haircut!!

Anyway, the nice man was asking about tides and we don't want him to think that he's just signed up to the loony bin do we?

He'll probably work that out without any assistance from us!!

The only tides you guys get are tide marks.

Usually when you go swimming in lakes !
