Hi I've just bought a used mag elit, c3ct, and decided to oil the bearings. However I can't reassemble the fittings in the left end plate housing. Has anyone got a photo of how the insides of the left cover plate should look,. i'd be really grateful - what a prat I can be sometines!
cheers

You could ask on the forum for perhaps someone to give or borrow you there H I Operating Manual for Abu 6500 C3 CT Mag Elite in green.
Someone may have it boxed or have no use for it.
Failing that write to abu for diagrams  |

Hi mate
i have just baught a casting and reel tuning dvd which goes through the re assembley of the mag elite in step by step detail. There is a trick to doing it.
I can either do you a copy or you can buy the dvd yourself. Its called "Reel tuning" and there's a picture of some bearded guy on the front who's name i can't remember right now but if you need any help send me an e-mail.

Alrighty mate, dont worry weve all done it, and its a real pain in the arse, maybe you coyuld take it to your local fishing tackle shop and ask someone in there if they can do it for you or if you can have a look at one of there manuals, im sure they wont mind.
Ive got so pissed off with trying to service my own reels i take them to my fishing tackle shop and get them to service them for me, it only costs me a tenner for both reels and saves me hours trying to get the sodding things back together. Laters jim. |
