There is a friendly at Browndown 7.30pm till 11.30pm this Saturday. Hampshire Hookers Angling Club.

http://www.freewebs.com/hampshirehookersanglingclub/links.htm

It is free to join. No prizes other than a sweep at the beach. Have a look at the website for joining instructions. You are welcome to come along. It might get a bit boozy though. Some serial drinkers tend to attend, albeit surprisingly enough I won't be, as I am on the effing wagon for 3 months.

Something to do with blood glucose levels, caused by insufficient ingestion of alcohol. LOL.

Browndown Beach 18th August 2007

2000 - Until you have had enough.

H/W 15.26 4.4M

The meet will be fished over low water but some of us will be staying on to fish the night with the high at 0335. Parking at Lee-On-Solent end. Meet in the car park at 1930.

Directions:

Come off M27 at Junc 11. Travel down A27 Eastern Way, keeping on inside lane passing under viaduct. Proceed along road and straight over at first round about. Follow signs for Lee on Solent.

Travel along Gosport Road and keep in outside lane, to proceed over bridge. Then along Newgate Lane B3385. Pass MacDonalds on left and HMS Collingwood on right.

At end of road go straight ahead over road about. Continue Following signs for Lee on Solent, B3385 Broom Way Continue on the B3385 Manor Way

At end of Pier street B3385 turn left onto Marine Parade East B3333. Continue along road for approx a mile on the left of corner on Queens Road (shown above) is a bust of a woman on a house, opposite a boat/ yacht parking area. Just past on right hand side is a car parking area. Park/ meet here. Walk around the corner or over the slight coast bank and fish/ eat drink beer. Or in Henry’s case, a wafer thin mint and a glass or slightly chilled, iced sparkling

Bstards have me down on the website as Chief Wine Taster. LOL
