hi,
does anyone fish pentewan/mevagissey bay for bass?going on holiday there and really really want to hook a bass.if not any tips on catching my 1st bass.boat,beach or rocks.

i know u can catch mackeral garfish polack from the breakwater in mevagissy.never fished pentwan but going there on hols myself on 2 june wil fish it then,let u know what i think. |

didnt catch anything on pentewan beach nor did any body else that fished there.catch mackeral garfiash polack and wrasse of the breakwater in mevagisey.we went out on a 2 hour mackeral trip and caught macxkeral / garfish / launce / red gurnard / poloack (up to 4 lb) / whiting. boat name besie vee spikker dave hunkin 01726 871074,he will do all day charters aswell.2 hour trip cost £12. god luck mate.tight lines |

Just to let you know i did catch at pentewan.3 Bass at the left hand side if you are looking out to sea.all 3 35-42cm so only schoolies but now i have caught them i'm hooked.what a buzz!all 3 on light tackle and fought really well.All i can say is sorry for the late response but i'm so pleased.
planning a trip to newquay next month as was informed great bass plug fishing. |
