Hi Gents, I expect to visit my old mate in Swansea again this summer. He now has some angling gear but doesn't know much yet. On the other hand, I have been at it over ten years and pretty well know what I am doing - in my own area anyway. Would like to try a night session when I visit him to see if we can catch a sole as his mrs thinks they are scrummy (so do I). Can some kind gent advise where in the area there is a sandy beach which is covered in worm casts at low water?, because that is where the sole will probably be at high water at night.
Thanks for your help |

I've had some positive feedback about Rhosili and Llangennith. Try them, but at night to avoid the surfers. |

If I were you Eccles, as far as the sole are concerned I'd do the same in Wales as you do at home. Soles respond to the same tactics all around the country. |

Mumbles is also good fishing, with a chance to catch several varieties of fish.
Good luck! |

caught some decent sized sole and flatties on cardiff bay Barrage and foreshore. They like small hook and well beaded flapper rigs with small chunks of mackerel and squid, or just rag on its own. usually catch mine by accident whilst fishing for bass/ mullet  |
