Hello across the Atlantic! I live in Southern California, USA. I live on the beach and I try to fish as often as I can. I recently retired from the Fire Department, and I now teach Fire Technology at our local community college. I fished 2 days ago, caught several large shovel nose sharks, and one really huge bat ray. Water is warming up for the summer, and the the perch, corbina, and spotted fin croakers will be biting...really nice fish to catch and very good eating. I also off a boat in deeper water...for halibut, white sea bass, yellow tails, and other fish. I am a volunteer fire instructor for Cabo San Lucas Fire Department in Cabo San Lucas Mexico. Fishing there is the best...

Hello mate, what part of SoCal are you in? I've fished all along the coast from L.A. down to San Diego and found the fishing to be prolific compared to here .... but to be honest, I've found the fishing to be prolific world-wide when compared to the U.K. except the Mediterraninan Sea which is a dead loss. |

I live in Ventura County, about 60 miles north of Los Angeles, on the coast. Mainly agricultre here, especially "strawberries". Sub-tropical weather. Sorry to hear that fishing is not all that great in the UK. Never fished across the pond, but where ever I travel, I always take a fishing pole. Good Luck to all you guys...."FISH ON"!!!!!!! |

But most of the time not! You'll learn to ignore us like everyone else!!   |
