Some nice smoothies up to 15lb being taken at lee-on-theSolent just by the amusement arcade . Hermit crab seems to be their favourite at the moment.

Try lepe deep water section on a rising tide. Weed can be a prob at this time of the year but if you can fish you can get good hounds, dogfish, bass, thronback

If you fancy a night of smoothounds and bass close in (when the weed is to strong for smoothies). Pulley pennal rig 2 whole peelars works extremly well. Go to the elmore angling club and turn left towrds the firing range and fisning 100yrds to the right from the rocks and cast as far as possible. You`ll see and old sea breaker worn down very much by the water, fish there. Ive always had many good sessions and not once have i pulled out anything small. Had gurnards/plaice bass during the day along with smoothies, night tide mainly smoothies/bass. Very good spot, my little secret.

Let me know how you get on.

Darren (Gosport)
