Gentlemen!

You are both obviously passionate about your areas and both have objections to the safety of each others marks, why not arrange for each of you to meet up with Tim and show him your spots that way no one is fishing on their jack!!!! equally why not meet up together and do what us fishermen do and enjoy each others company

Well, despite blanking (apart from a couple of eels - grrrr!) I went to both Tilbury and Canvey (Labworth Cafe) and both seemed good marks, so thank you for the recommendations.

However, I would say that the Tilbury Worlds End mark isn't one I'd like to fish at night alone - I'm sorry if that offends anyone, maybe it's just me... The Labworth Cafe mark was a friendly one though, with other anglers keen to say hi and share what they knew - I'll go back there for sure.

Anyway, thanks to all who helped me, and thanks for your reply King Grant, your suggestion was one that I would have been happy to have taken up - I'd do the same if the venue was Deal Pier or Dungeness.

Tight lines
Tim
