thanks for all the info but i do feel abit confussed now as to what one to get, i think the best option is to get down to jetty anglers and get a feel for the different multi's on offer, they did offer me a abu 6000 for £50 , but dont know anyone who has one, as i have only been fishing for awhile now and have only been using a fixed spool, my catches of bass are creeping up , i caught 6 small about 1.5 lb and 1 about 2lb all on rag and jellies which i got myself,

Cheers Stuart,
I do remember we had a short discussion about these reels at Orford but as yet I'm still trying to find an angler who has one.

Mr Concrete if its true and you have one of these babies, what are you honest opinions of them and would you recomend others to buy???

The Turbo is an improvement on the original in my opinion. It's a dream to cast with, if a tad noisy. The retrieve is a massive improvement, with the gearing now supported by a bearing. The handle is better too. There has been murmerings about the spool, which doesn't appear to be as robust as the original. Only time will tell. I run mine with red rocket fuel in the bearings and with the two smallest brake blocks fitted. One thing of note is, when I fill the spool up, I overload it a bit, as the line seems to compact down more than on other reels after it has been used for fishing. I don't really think that the Turbo needs mags, as it casts a bl**dy long way in standard form.

Just remember, they do make a bit of a racket when cast hard, though mine is getting quieter.

When one of my Penns finally keels over, I'll no doubt get another Turbo, then I'll have a pair of each.

Cheers mr Concrete

I think then I may go for one, if its an improvement on the 7ht millionare then it cant be bad.
