well me and the old boar went for trip of felixstowe rather than orford as southly winds can make getting over the bar at orford a bit dodgy if the wind gets up.
went to the inner ridge area to start with and got a 2 1/2lb codling plus doggies and whitng on whole squid and blacks.
when we got to the bottom of the tide went for a move to the other side of cork sands and got more doggies and a couple of nice pout but then went quiet so went back to the inner ridge, fishing was slow but staedy with some more doggies and a good whiting to finish.
still a very good day out on thor, looking at the conditions good have gone of orford but never mind, and one lesson learnt, never take the weather forcast as gossiple, as it said overcast all day with the odd sunny spell, yeh right thats why i endded up with a very brown face, so will be putting some sun cream in the boat from now on.: |
