hello there just like to introduce myself im fraz from newcastle
Just got myself into this fishing and i am in need of a bit of advice
been fishing out of berwick and eyemouth from the rocks and have caught a lot of the same fish which i havent got a clue what they are :oops: they are redish brown with yellow spots on the belly and and like a brownish stripe could someone please tell me what they are and are they edible because i have had a few large ones 8O

sounds like wrasse mate, always around the rocks, not edible full of bones, but if they are there fish with rubber lures as the pollock will be there to, c ya nobby

Fraz,if you come from newcastle you should try fishing up northumberland way,i.e. Craster,Newton,Blyth,Newbiggin,Lynmouth,Cresswell,Amble,Low Hauxley and so on,really good fishing marks with plenty pollack and red cod
