The long range forcast says...12mph W Winds with gusts up to 24mph and it ment to be like it for 7 days before that. With these gusts, would it be too dangerous to fish? |

Don't know the area but i shouldn't have thought so. 12mph wind isn't that bad really. I've fished in much worse and higher gust strengths which is uncomfortable but not necessarily dangerous

I have fished chesil many times over the years in force 6 gales!
Its not been what you would call dangerous but just far more difficult to actually fish.

Get yourself down there Simon, thats good for Chesil and there are still a few codling about and some big whiting. Fishing a comp down there in a couple of weeks so let me know how you get on

simon,its not so much the winds ,its the swells that are the danger along chesil.seen waves take out complete shelfs in a short period.
