Having just started beach casting, I decided that I wanted a longer rod. (Don't we all).
Having come home with some fish, other people now want to come with me.
That's a good enough excuse to justify buying another and a friend told me that a new shop had just opened in March, Cambs called Boyes and that they sold beach casting gear.
I popped in today and got a 15ft 3 piece Mitchell for £23 and a Fladen Vantage fixed spool for £22.
They started oop norf and are now spreading so see if there's a Boyes near you.
Maybe not top of the range gear but good for a man on a budget like me |

Great savings can be made at GO OUTDOORS on fishing gear as well as clothing for those cold winter nights, more can be saved with a club card.
Cheers

A further heads up.
Wades in Ramsey have two Shakespeare 12' Carbon Beachcasters with multiplier seats. They were about £65 but they want to shift them so they are now £35 each.
If anyone is seriously interested then I'm happy to check out exactly which model they are.
I've just bought all the rods that I dare for now and I don't use multipliers but someone may get a bargain. |

12ft are ok but a lot of people are going for the 13ft versions now. I find them easier for casting but thats me |
