If it is not too far for you to travel, give Cromer pier a try.
Getting bait for the day, it is best to find a tackle-shop near where you are going to fish and order it in advance. (nothing worse than turning up to a venue and finding you can't get any bait). A quick search on the internet will give you the phone numbers of the tackle shops.
Lugworm is a good all round bait, there is not many species of fish that wont go for it.
Hope your day goes well.
Good luck.

Hi Andy. I normally go to Salthouse/Cley or Weybourne. Salthouse tends to get the vote cos you don't have to pay 60 pence an hour for the car park like you do at Weybourne. Cley is about one pound to park for the day. I fished Cley last Monday and had a couple of dabs only. Should have fished Salthouse really. On good tides they have been getting the odd sizeable codling/decent whiting and dabs. The tides at the moment are fairly mediocre so not sure how the fishing will be. Good luck. |

Just see that you mentioned going on 18th. The tides are very big around that date so would hopefully fish ok. |
